Weekend Getaway

I had a really really great weekend. After having my review on Friday, me and Cha headed to IGaCoS right away to catch Rys' parents. Cha and I have to pretend we got there by ourselves and that we don't have any company in the resort who went earlier than us. It's for the reason that rooms are to be occupied by 3 people only (we're 5 --Rys, Cha, me, Kar, Shera). We arrived roughly 7pm.

The beach is inviting. If only I wore my swimming clothes already, after the crew ushered me and Cha to our spot, I could have dived in already but we have to let our company know we're already there. So we were like very vigilant because the management's eye is everywhere. We got together for dinner and jumped right in the waters after meal. We didn't expect that swimming is til 9pm only. Boo!

Overnight with friends are expected to be a not-much-sleep night. We chatted about anything under the sun (or moon rather, haha corny) and ate chips. It's actually Kar's birthday and we actually wanted to surprise her and Rysa too (her birthday is on Monday). Me and cha got a hard time making alibis just to get to the room to make our fancy lil surprise. I think we had to make 4 different alibis til we finally had no other company.

We had the cupcakes and the candles but we don't have anything to light those candles on. Good thing we saw a staff sleeping on a chair. He had a lighter. Yipee! We lit the candles and walked our way to them on the bench. We sang the song, the Happy Birthday song, and they were totally surprised. Goal met!

Here's what we made for them.
Kara's and Rysa's
I wanted them to cry but then they didn't. Kara was almost teary-eyed but Rysa wasn't for the reason that she was just shocked though it was her 1st time to actually be surprised.

The rest of the night, we just giggled and talked about anything. Me, Kara, and Rysa was up til 4:30am. I wanted to eat a sandwich then so we headed to the room and basically left the sleeping two on the bench by the beach. And the 3 of us fell asleep in the room. Haha! It was just 2 hours of sleep, for crying out loud. The original plan was that we'll see the sun rise. Failed. We woke up 6:30am. Cha and Shera went to us 'cause they were awaken by excited children wanting to get wet already. We changed our clothes and swim again.

By lunch we grilled chicken, after which, we had a bountiful lunch. And shortly after, we went home after playing table tennis. Rysa's parents were our sponsor for everything, by the way. We are just so thankful for the getaway. It was a great weekend to remember.

The Holidays

Due to exhaustion most of the days of the holidays, I have this blog post late.

Well, I love Christmas vacations. Who doesn't? I get to take a break from school (my last Christmas break as a student), get to be with my HS berx, and just chillax, hit the streets and the malls for some shopping spree. I've got to say I was broke after all the purchasing of gifts and some personal stuffs I wanted for my self. Thank goodness school is back and now I'm saving bucks.

Dec 21 is a date I always love every year 'cause it's our Berx Anniversary. :) And we're 5 and counting. ♥ Though we were never ever complete except for our Berx' "birth" date, I always look forward to Dec 21. No matter if we're all broke, or just completely insane, I ♥ being with them. And I ♥ them all.

However, the highlight for my Christmas '09 is the one-night-only caroling I had with my girlfriends --Kara, Cha, Rysa.  Kara never caroled houses even when she was just little. I just can't remember if Cha and Rysa doesn't have that kind of experience as well. (As for me, I had lots of memories of those. Hehe.)

For almost 2 hours, we had 190 quid then Rysa's mom gave us 500 without us singing. So we sang the 3 sets of songs we had prepared. We had 690, in total.

Days before Christmas, houses in Cha's neighborhood was caught by fire. 20 families, we heard, were struck by the unfortunate event. Christmas is a time of giving. With what we were able to gather on our caroling night and a lil amount from our pockets, we bought some goods out of it and donate it to those who needs it all the more at that moment. So there.

The holidays was also an opportunity for me to donate some of my glittering blood. Haha! Gauge 16 was real big. Seriously. I've had g20 and g18, yet no other compares to g16. Whenever I'm being punctured by whatsoever kind of syringe or needles for whatever kind of procedure, I always look at how they pierce me.When I saw the lumen of g16, sheesh. I looked away when the Red Cross personnel hit my blood vessel. I just can't look at how that big-of-a-needle will go thru my skin and into my artery. It doesn't take long to fill a bag. I guess I've filled it within 10-15 minutes. I'd definitely do it again in March or April. :)

Helping out never felt this good. And I hope in every season, in every day, God will give us the opportunity to help others even in the smallest of things. Not just in Christmases. :)

I ♥ My Berx

Torn between going and not going, I decided to go afterall. My Dad gave me my money back, so I have enough bucks to enjoy my day.

Ahfat III was our first stop. We were soooo full. Btw, seven out of eleven were present. RA dropped by though I wasn't able to catch her. S was I-don't-know-where-she-is. A had her review. RT, I-don't -know-too. Anyways, we had 5 different noodle soups, 8pcs siopao (I'm not sure if it's really 8) *I love their Black Mongo Pao*, 2 different dimsums (shrimp ball? and I forgot what's the name of the other one... x2 or x3 each dimsum), siomai, tausi spareribs?, 1 shrimp rice roll?. *Haay. I actually didn't mind the name of the dish much. Everything's delicious.*

The bill was shouldered mostly by P. We should be paying 150+ bucks each................ (A million thanks to his generosity.) The outstanding memory for this day was that N finished all 5 noodle soups. Sulit talaga! Simot. Palakpakan!

P needed to stay in their restaurant so we tried to drop by our batchmate's thanksgiving party at Torres St. 30mins earlier than the party. Unfortunately, no one was still there. We just called her to say our greetings and went to N's house at Maa, where we ate ice cream and talked and talked and talked.

N went for a night swim (which hasn't pushed thru), and the rest of us were at Basti's Brew. I love their coffee and their pasta. The ambiance was chillax. The crew's halloween headband was cute. :) Did I mention that I love their coffee?

We continued talking and talking and talking. I just love them. *Thanks so much for your concern and for your love. I thank God I have friends like you.*  (And I hope they'll get to read this.)

RU was with me til my family arrived downtown to have an ice cream (and to fetch me....) though his eyes are heavy. He's a gent. And I love him. He knows that.

I ♥ My Berx. They're the best. Mwah! Hope we'll get a perfect attendance next time. Til then! :)

*I'll upload some pictures tomorrow in a different post.. Some kind of a P.S..... I'm already sleepy.*
